Selena Gomez Just Teased A Possible '13 Reasons Why' Season 2
We just can't decide if this is a good idea or not.
Just six days since 13 Reasons Why was released to the world on Netflix, fans are already asking if there will be a season two.
The show, which is based on Jay Asher’s YA book of the same name, follows teenager Hannah Baker who takes her own life and leaves behind a series of tapes to those who played a part in her death.
It’s already being hailed as an incredibly important story that needed to be told, and touches upon a number of others which could easily be the basis of a second series.
Chatting to The Hollywood Reporter, executive producer Selena Gomez seemingly agrees, as she leaves the door open for a possible follow-up.
"We don't know what is going to go beyond it, but we know there are so many stories that lie beneath each character. That's why it became a series in the first place. So we'll see," she explained.
"There's definitely more story to tell," she added. "It would be cool to continue the dialogue of this story. There are so many cliffhangers at the end of the season."
While Jay is also not ruling it out, happy to let Netflix take the reigns after doing such an incredible job the first time around.
"If they want to continue it, I definitely trust where they would take it," the author told Bustle.
We can’t decide if we’d want more, or if it’s perfect just as it is. Let us know what you think with a tweet to @mtvuk if you like.
