There's A Secret Message In '13 Reasons Why' Which Explains A Lot About The Ending
If you've watched 13 Reasons Why (and let's be honest, who hasn't) you may have found yourself with more than a few questions when it ended.
So you'll be positively thrilled to hear that there is in fact a hidden message in the series, which more than explains some of the choices made for how it concluded.
As pointed out by Buzzfeed and a detective on Tumblr, one particular date on the show has more significance than first thought.
It's November 10 which is featured in the lyrics of a song which is played out during the heartbreaking scene in which Clay imagines being Hannah's boyfriend.
You know, the part where they are seen in complete bliss together acting all happy and cute while slowly breaking your heart because it's all a dream sequence.
In the background you'll hear the song '1000 Times', which includes the lyrics: "The 10th of November, the year's almost over."
The 10th of November, also known as the date of the depositions.
In fact, the entire song is entirely relatable to the story which has just played out, as it continues: "I had a dream that you were mine, I've had that dream a thousand times."
So it's like the song was not only helping illustrate what was happening, but also bringing everything to a perfect closure filled end.
