16 And Pregnant star Janelle Evans has been arrested and charged with assault and "affray for fighting" after a video of the brawl emerged on the internet.

Mother-of-one Evans is seen in the footage allegedly hitting Britany Truett while being cheered on by a crowd of friends, after the pair apparently locked horns over Janelle's boyfriend.

A warrant for her arrest was then issued after police saw the video of the 19-year old punching Truett in the face during an argument in the front yard of a house in North Carolina.

According to the Daily Mail, Britany wasn't going to press charges against the young mum, but changed her mind in the weekend leading up to Evans' arrest.

Evans' lawyer has since told TMZ: "Based on the information that I have received, I believe Janelle was set up."

She has since been released on bail and is due back in court on 26th April.
