Fiddy in HUGE Radio Phone Row
50 gets embroiled in the mother of all irate phone-ins. Read on...
50 Cent got into a war of words with hip hop stars Styles P and Cam'ron live on US radio yesterday (February 1).
The Fidster was deep in discussion about the delay of rapper Styles P's second album, 'Time Is Money' - which he has a hand in - when Styles himself rang into the show.
The two were urged to keep the banter peaceful, but Fid decided now was the time to ask Styles - who's just parted company with Interscope Records - a pertinent (rhetorical) question.
"You know who would be the best person to broker a deal for you right now? 50 Cent," said the G-Unit honcho.
Styles, clearly unsure, accused Fid of going all "Hollywood", claiming, "I think you forgot where you're from."
50 replied, "If you say that I'm a different person, anybody who says money don't change them, they just didn't make enough."
It was turning into the mother of all irate phone-ins and got even more juicy when Fid decided to address the record sales of rival record label, Koch - only for the boss of that company to call up.
Hip hop star Cam'ron - part of the Koch stable - then came on the line and proceeded to try to rip Fid's argument to shreds, taunting him about G-Unit sales in the process.
"Yo Curtis, how much did Mobb Deep sell?" he taunted.
"You're getting ready to cause a whole different situation," Fid batted back.
Once Cam had finally hung up, 50 told the no-doubt flustered radio host, "I think he thinks that he's actually able to compete with me."
Judge for yourself on who got the last word here.
