A Sequel To 'A Quiet Place' Is DEFINITELY Happening
Here's what we can expect from A Quiet Place 2.
Having cleaned up at the box office and secured a raft of rave reviews from critics and fans alike, semi-silent horror A Quiet Place has been one of the year’s biggest success stories.
It's no surprise then to hear it’s getting a sequel, with Paramount CEO Jim Gianopulos confirming a second film has been given the official green light.
“If you told me five years ago that an almost silent film starring the very funny guy Jim from The Office would have been a hit at Paramount…” mused Gianopulos. “I would have said ‘well… I should go work at Paramount.’”
The prospect of a sequel was first teased by co-writer Scott Beck, who revealed that he, Bryan Woods and John Krasinski still had a bunch of unused ideas to draw on. “There are so many discarded set pieces, too, just hiding out on Word documents on our computer," said Beck.
“So, yeah, there are certainly so many stories you could tell. It's just really, at the end of the day, who are the characters in this and what does this situation mean to that dynamic?”
We’ll find out when the sequel emerges sometime in the near future. In the meantime, you can still catch the first film in cinemas now.
