Aaron Chalmers Reveals The Geordie Shore Family ‘Follow Him Everywhere’ For His MMA Fights As He Talks Preparing For His Bellator 200 Debut – EXCLUSIVE
Aaron takes on Ash Griffiths at Wembley Arena, May 25th!
Geordie Shore’s Aaron Chalmers is now just a few days away from making his very exciting Bellator 200 debut in a fight against Ash Griffiths (May 25, Wembley SSE Arena, London), and we are buzzing for the lad!
As the undefeated MMA fighter prepares to get back in the ring, he spoke exclusively to MTV all about his training and who will be there to support him on the night – and it seems his Geordie family are ready to be reet beside him.
WATCH AARON SPEAK EXCLUSIVELY TO MTV ABOUT HIS UPCOMING MMA FIGHT:
Speaking about how the radgies 'always show support' for his fights, Aaron told MTV: “The Geordie Shore crew obviously follow us everywhere I go, especially Charlotte (Crosby). She’s me number one fan, she comes everywhere – so does Sophie (Kasaei) (sic).
“So yeah, I think Charlotte, Sophie, Scotty T and Gaz (Beadle) and I think a few others will be there. They always show support.”
Explaining how his training has been going, Aaron said: “Training’s going very well for Bellator 200. Obviously, I’ve moved gyms – I’m now at a jiujitsu gym so me resting and me ground game is coming on leaps and bounds (sic).
“It’s going really really good and I’m just excited to get in there and make a statement on Bellator.”
He added that he’s feeling confident: “I’m always confident going into any fight. If you’re not confident, you shouldn’t be in there. I train hard and when I get in there, that’s the easy part.”
Opening up about the most nerve-wracking pre-fight moments, Aaron admitted that whilst he doesn’t feel too fearful moments before a match, there’s one thing that does get his nerves going.
He told MTV: “Just before I’m about to walk out for a big fight, I don’t really feel anything, like, that’s it – in me head, ready to go (sic).
“I normally get nervous the day before the fight at the weigh-ins. That’s my most nerve-wracking time, the weigh-ins and all that kind of stuff. But the day of the fight, nothing seems to bother us, I’m just in the zone and I’m just ready to go.”
KEEMON! We just KNAH Aaron is gonna smash his fight - good luck, lad!
Aaron's Bellator 200 fight against Ash Griffiths takes place on Friday May 25 at the SSE Arena in Wembley, London.
