Adam Lambert celebrated his birthday yesterday (January 29) by announcing that his third album will be titled The Original High.

The former American Idol star confirmed the news on social media, where he also shared a brand new picture, writing: "Thank you for all the birthday love! Thrilled to announce the title of my upcoming album: The Original High."

“The album is executive produced by Max Martin and Shellback, with 1st single out in April."

Within minutes,'#theoriginalhigh' was trending worldwide on Twitter.

Earlier this month, Lambert confirmed that he had signed with Warner Bros, with Martin and Shellback as executive producers on his upcoming release.

[related]Adam is currently in the middle of a huge UK and European tour with rock legends Queen, which saw the gang perform two massive shows at London's O2 Arenaand an additionally sold out performance at Wembley Arena.

Adam will release his first single from The Original High in April.
