The Trailer For Adam Sandler's First Netflix Movie 'The Ridiculous Six' Is As Controversial As Ever

It features a Twilight star as a mentally challenged cowboy...

Adam Sandler comedies have become the most polarising things since Miley Cyrus learnt to twerk.

So the announcement that he was leaving long-term studio production partner Sony and heading to Netflix was announced with a more than a few 'huh's.

And now, the first trailer for his western comedy The Ridiculous Six is here.

And yep, you did see that correctly - that 'is' a mentally challenged Taylor Launter as well as a knife-wielding Native Indian toddler. It's clear that the controversy surrounding the movie's production - which saw a number of Native American actors walk off the New Mexico set due to what they deemed offensive stereotype gags - is in no danger of abating.

Unsurprisingly, Sandler is sticking to his comedy roots for his first Netflix movie, and while it's bound to have its detractors, we're pretty sure his legions of fans will be right aboard.

The Ridiculous Six is available on Netflix from 11 December 2015.
