Adele Announces Split From Husband and We’re Already Crying At The Next Album

We apologise for interrupting Britain’s first universally warm weekend of the year with heartbreaking news but Adele is getting a divorce.

The superstar has announced that she and her husband Simon Konecki have separated in a statement made by her representatives.

The former couple have said they are “committed to raising their son together lovingly” in the statement, while stating their would be no further comment and requesting their privacy be respected.

Adele began dating Simon in 2011 and married in a secret ceremony five years later in 2016.

They have one child together, Angelo, who was born in 2012, just after she released her record-breaking album 21, which launched her to superstardom thanks to songs like ‘Rolling In The Deep’ and ‘Someone Like You’.

Adele has been in the studio working on her fourth studio album - which she has previously said will not be titled after her age, sadly breaking the iconic theme of her career thus far - for over a year, although we’d expect that she’ll lay low for a while before returning to the spotlight.

Whenever she does release new music, we’re sure there’ll be at least one devastating mega ballad on there, and we’re quite frankly not ready for it.

The best-selling singer recently made a rare public appearance in New York when she went to a gay bar with Jennifer Lawrence and let her hair down, so at least we know she seems to be doing well and has a good support system around her.
