Adele Blames Her Chattiness For Health Woes
Smoking is apparently not the problem, as Adele claims she talks too much...
Doctors have blamed Adele's recent bout of bad health on her chattiness, not her smoking habit.
The Someone Like You singer, who was forced to scrap her US tour last week after suffering a hemorrhage in her vocal chord, claims her love of having a natter is at the centre of her vocal woes.
Speaking to The Sun, Adele stated: "Smoking is not the reason I got laryngitis – it was because I was talking too much."
"I damage my voice offstage, not onstage. Onstage I am fine as apparently I am technically great, but when I talk I damage my voice big time. I have got screwed into giving up smoking."
The 23-year old continued: "If I wasn't a singer I still would be smoking 25 a day. Smoking is my favourite thing to do in the world, I am gutted I have had to give up."
"But I have been tough – no patches, no gum, no hypnotism. It f****** sucks."
Adele recently expressed her sadness at having to cancel her 10 Stateside shows, telling fans that she's been advised to rest her voice or she risks damaging it forever.
