Adele has undergone throat surgery at a hospital in Massachusetts, Boston, in a bid to repair a hemorrhage in her vocal chord.
The Rolling In The Deep singer, who has been plagued by health woes for months, had microsurgery aimed at stopping bleeding resulting form a benign polyp.
In a statement regarding the 23-year old's condition, the hospital said: "It is typically the result of unstable blood vessels in the vocal cord that can rupture."
Her operation was performed by Dr. Steven Zeitels, who has claimed that he expects Adele to make a full recovery.
Despite the hospital confirming Adele had microsurgery on her throat, they did not say when the Someone Like You hitmaker had the procedure.
Earlier this month, Adele's rep was forced to deny internet rumours that the star was suffering from throat cancer, stating: "We would like to reiterate that Adele is to undergo surgery for a haemorrhaged vocal cord. All reports regarding any other condition are 100% false."
