Adele Set To Star In TV Special?
Networks reported to be getting chequebooks out after Oscars...
Adele is apparently at the centre of a bidding war among television networks after signalling that she could be interested in doing a Beyoncé-style TV special.
CNN and Fox are reported by The Mirror to be wheeling out their big guns in an attempt to get a deal with the pop superstar - but smaller cable channel HBO could also be in with a shout after she name-checked it.
Asked what she'd do next after her Oscars win on Sunday night, she replied: "Maybe I'll do a HBO special like Beyoncé did."
And since then she has reportedly been bombarded with offers.
A source told the paper: "As soon as Adele said she could be interested in a show, TV producers were compiling suggestions.
"This will be a major coup for anyone to get. Adele hasn't done any major interviews for a long time.
"She has never spoken in depth about her relationship with partner Simon Konecki or the birth of her son Angelo."
The paper also suggests that Adele's personal friend, comedian and chat show host Alan Carr, could be in the frame to host the show.
