Adele Shows Off £7Million Mansion On US TV
The Rolling In The Deep star is renting the plush pad for £15k-a-month...
Adele has revealed she's renting a £7million mansion in West Sussex, boasting of 10 bedrooms, two swimming pools and a helipad.
The multiple Grammy Awards winner, who rents the lavish property for £15,000-a-month, has showed off her home to Anderson Cooper as part of her interview on US TV show, 60 Minutes.
The Someone Like You singer took Anderson on a tour of her sprawling pad, which also comes complete with a cellar, tennis courts, a games' room and it's very own media centre.
Adele's 25-acre home, which she shares with boyfriend Simon Konecki, also has a pavilion and a guest cottage in its grounds.
It's a far cry from the Tottenham flat she grew up in, with the 23-year old telling Anderson: "After my first record I moved out of my mum’s to Notting Hill on my own.
"My life fell apart. My phone got cut off, my credit card got cut off, the house was a mess. It was awful.
“I couldn’t function without my mum so I moved back in with her. I’d rather be defeated than one day come in and the rats would be eating me. It was basically a bedsit with walls.”
In other Adele related news, the Rolling In The Deep hitmaker has written on her blog that she still can't believe she won six gongs at the Grammys on Sunday (12th February).
The star said: "In between laughing my head off, welling up, needing to sit down and trying to maintain an open fire (which is pretty much impossible huh!?), I keep having flashbacks to Sunday night. The most incredible night of my life."Thank you to you all, I am so overwhelmed, it's the strangest feeling. I have constant butterflies and goosebumps, it's wearing me out but I love it. I've been sleeping a lot but the minute I wake up I burst out laughing and it starts all over again."
She continued: "I was totally unprepared. Despite the phenomenal year, I swear I didn't think I had any chance. All the categories were full of people I adore with brilliant songs, records and performances.
"So not in my wildest dreams did I think to actually prepare anything proper to say just in case. It's evolved into something that we should all be very proud of.
"All of this is yours - the songs, the shows, the moments like this. Not that there's any other moments like this one, but you get my drift."
Adele recently clarified comments that she would be taking a five year hiatus soon, stating: "I've a few days off now, and then it's the Brit Awards here at home and then I'm straight into the studio. BOYYAHH! Five years? More like five days."
