Adele Smashes Official Chart Records And Our Minds

Plus 5SOS top the UK album chart with 'Sounds Good Feels Good'! NICE.

Oh like it wasn't going to cripple the Internet when it arrived.Yep, Adele's 'Hello' has stormed to the top of the Official UK Singles chart and has become the biggest single in three years to grace our ears.

With 333,000 combined sales, 'Hello' doesn't quite reachJames Arthur's 'Impossible' sales of 490,000 back in December 2012 but she's absolutely shredded the streaming record with a ridiculous 7.32 MILLION streams this week, smashing Justin Bieber's recent achievement of 3.87 mill. That's nearly double! Bow. Down.

Another handy little factoid from the 'Official ChartsCompany' for you:

"Excluding X Factor / Pop Idol winners’ singles, major charity campaign records and Christmas No.1s, 'Hello' has bagged the second biggest 'regular’ No.1 of the millennium - only pipped by Shaggy’s 'It Wasn’t Me', which managed 345,000 sales in a week back in 2001."

Shaggy? Really?!

Also in today'schart news, Bieber's new single 'Sorry' settles for second place at No.2 with 'Sorry'. It also racked up 4.48 million streams alone, beating his own aforementioned streaming record.

...AND can we take a minute to congratulate 5 Seconds Of Summer who went straight in at No.1 in the Official Albums Chart with their second studio album'Sounds Good Feels Good'!

*Applause*

The foursome old-sold nearest rivalBryan Adams, who returned this week with'Get Up,'his highest UK charting album in over 15 years,by more than two copies to one.

Not too shabs, guys.
