Adele is reportedly using a voice-generating app to communicate, as she continues to recover from throat surgery.
According to The Sun, the Someone Like You star - who has been ordered by doctors to rest her voice - has downloaded the programme to read out messages she types into her mobile phone.
A source told the tabloid: "She's been using the speaking app to buy coffee at Starbucks and to order cabs."
They added: "It is far easier to communicate using it rather than writing everything down on paper and showing people."
Adele, who has since quashed rumours suggesting she will be appearing on The X Factor final, recently told her fans that she is "on the mend" since undergoing microsurgery on her throat to repair a haemorrhage on her vocal cord.
Despite her health woes, the 23-year old has been tipped to land the most nominations for next year's Grammy Awards, following the success of her sophomore LP, 21.
The likes of Taylor Swift and Lady GaGa are also expected to receive a variety of top nods, which will be announced tonight, Wednesday 30th November.
