The songstress fears stress could send her to an early grave...
Adelehas revealed she is convinced she will die young due to the "stress" of performing.
The Someone Like You singer, who apparently suffers from stage fight, claims she panics all the time and is worried it could be putting her into an early grave.
Speaking to OK! magazine, the 23-year old explained: "Oh my God, I'm crippled by fear. I have awful stage fright."
She continued: "I don't know what possesses me to do it. I think I'm going to die young from having so much stress all the time."
The Rolling In The Deep hitmaker, who was today announced as one of the 2011 Barclaycard Mercury Prize nominees, also confessed that despite her superstar status, she still lives at home with her mum.
Adele stated: "After my first record I moved out of my mum's and moved to Notting Hill on my own. My life fell apart,"
"My phone got cut off, my credit card got cut off, the house was a mess. It was awful. I couldn't function without my mum so I moved back in with her. I'd rather be defeated than one day come in and the rats would be eating me."
The star added: "My mum and I don't live in a tiny place. It's a big apartment, she can be at one end and me at the other."
