Adele has confessed she would "do anything" to get back together with her ex-lover who inspired hit sophomore album, 21.
The 23-year old, who is facing an operation on her throat after suffering a hemorrhage in her vocal chord, told a US magazine: "It's bittersweet because I wouldn't give up this success for anything. But at the same time, I'd do anything to be with him. I miss him. I do."
She explained: "It's hard singing all these songs because it makes me remember how brilliant we were when we were good... and how tragic it was when we were bad."
The Tottenham songstress then went on to admit that her huge No.1 single, Someone Like You, brings back some difficult memories of her former beau - who she refuses to name.
Adele revealed: "Even now, I get emotional performing that. It was such an honest thing to write."
The Rolling In The Deep hitmaker then added that she never told the man in question that she loved him, saying: "It's hard to share feelings. I've felt them. I just can't say them."
The heartbroken star then joked: "God, if I find happiness what will I write about!"
