Adele's 21 Named UK's Biggest-Selling LP Of 21st Century
She's overtaken the late Amy Winehouse...
The 23-year old's sophomore record, which boasts of hits Someone Like You and Rolling In The Deep, has shifted a cool 3.4million copies since its release in January, according to the Official Charts Company.
21 previously spent eighteen weeks at No.1 in the UK's Official Album Chart, totalling 45 weeks in the top ten, as well as Adele's album being named as the biggest-selling LP in the world this year.
Reacting to her hoard of Grammy nods, the Set Fire To The Rain singer - who is recovering from throat surgery - wrote on her blog: "A couple days after finally being able to talk again I'm pretty speechless,"
"This has been the best year as it is but to end 2011 with this incredible achievement and honour is beyond anything I can express."
She added: "I made the record and you've made it what it's become."
