Adele's record-breaking album 21 has been named as the UK's biggest-selling LP of the 21st Century - overtaking the late Amy Winehouse's Back To Black.
The 23-year old's sophomore record, which boasts of hits Someone Like You and Rolling In The Deep, has shifted a cool 3.4million copies since its release in January, according to the Official Charts Company.
21 previously spent eighteen weeks at No.1 in the UK's Official Album Chart, totalling 45 weeks in the top ten, as well as Adele's album being named as the biggest-selling LP in the world this year.
Adele's success doesn't end there as last week, the Tottenham songstress [uuid=d981f8e2-3966-4550-a609-5568a20e1344]also picked up six nominations[/uuid] at the 2012 Grammy Awards - including the coveted Album of the Year accolade.
Reacting to her hoard of Grammy nods, the Set Fire To The Rain singer - who is [uuid=35a88a13-b2f6-409a-8d60-de7a54c7ed60]recovering from throat surgery[/uuid] - wrote on her blog: "A couple days after finally being able to talk again I'm pretty speechless,"
"This has been the best year as it is but to end 2011 with this incredible achievement and honour is beyond anything I can express."

She added: "I made the record and you've made it what it's become."
