All Hail Queen Adele! '25' Is On Track To Become The Fastest Selling Record Of All Time
She’s already sold over half a million copies…
Adele is set to enter the Official Chart history books this week, as her latest album 25 soars past half a million sales in just three days.
25’s total sales so far this week are 538,000 putting it in a very good place to become the UKs fastest-selling album OF ALL TIME!
With four days still to go, the ‘Hello’ hit maker has already secured the second fastest-selling album in Official Chart history overtaking Take That’s album Progress, which sold 519,000 in its debut week in November 2010.
Elsewhere in the album chart Elvis’ former chart-topping collection climbs back up to No. 2, while Justin Bieber overtakes One Direction’s Made In The AM as Purpose is in at No.3.
In the Official Singles Chart Update, Adele and Justin Bieber are still tussling for the No. 1 spot with ‘Sorry’ only just taking the lead over ‘Hello’.
‘Love Yourself’, another track from Bieber’s new album is in at No. 3 while Fleur East remains at No. 4 with her debut single ‘Sax’.
Rounding off the top five is the king of this week’s singles chart, Justin Bieber, with his comeback single ‘What Do You Mean’.
A new entry at No. 6 is ‘Over And Over Again’ by Nathan Sykes with MNEK and Zara Larsson’s ‘Never Forget You’ following closely behind at No. 7.
‘Take Me Home’ by Jess Glynne falls two places to No. 8, whereas One Direction’s ‘Perfect’ creeps up one place to No. 9. Rounding off the Top 10 is WSTRN with ‘In2’.
