Is Adele Teaming Up With Damon Albarn For New Album?
Gorillaz and Blur man spotted at studio with singer...
Albarn, the frontman for Britpop legends Blur and the mainstay of Gorillaz, was reportedly spotted with Adele at his recording studio in West London.
And The Sun claims that their meeting could lead to the pair collaborating on new material.
A source said: "Damon and Adele had a chat about her new album and they could work together in future.
"He has produced and written brilliant pop songs for Gorillaz and slower material for acts such as Bobby Womack. He has advice to give from 25 years in the business.
"Adele's exploring loads of different avenues for the music and isn't rushing anything but the album will be released next year."
Adele has been casting her net wide in the search for collaborators for her new album - expected to be called 25.
She had been working with Phil Collins, but the veteran pop star revealed that he believes he's been dropped from the project.
He recently told Q: "She got hold of me and asked if I would write with her. She gave me a piece of music to finish and at first I didn't know if I'd failed the audition as I didn't hear back from her.
"She said, 'No, no, I'm moving house and the baby's taking up a lot of my time, I'm not actually doing anything at the moment'. And now I've heard there's a (new album) coming out. I'm not on it, I know that.
"She's a slippery little fish is Adele."
The Someone Like You star also hit the headlines recently by NOT featuring on the Band Aid 30 single.
