Adele's 'Send My Love (To Your New Lover)' Video Has Dropped & It's Trippy AF
You may want to take a seat...
If you're still feeling a little delicate from a weekend of over indulgence, you may want to take a seat before watching Adele's brand new music video for 'Send My Love (To Your New Lover)', which is trippy AF.
Premiering at last night's Billboard Music Awards, the Patrick Daughters-directed visual layers multiple versions of the 'Hello' megastar performing the new single over one another to kaleidoscopic effect...
Taking inspiration from the track's lyric "We've gotta let go of all of our ghosts, we both know we ain't kids no more," Daughters explains of the video: "Ghosts in this case are versions of ourselves that remain stuck at particular point in the past.
"So when Adele sings about letting go of all of our ghosts, I picture other versions of her that are in a different place than where she is now."
Although currently on tour in Europe, that didn't stop Adele winning five awards at the ceremony last night including Top Artist and the Top Billboard 200 Album for 25.
The singer, who last week took home this year's Ivor Novello Award for Songwriter Of The Year, is also reportedly poised to sign a massive new record deal with Sony which The Sun reports could be worth £90 million - the biggest deal for a British musician. It would eclipse Robbie Williams' EMI's from 2002 which paid the ex-Take That star £80 million.
