This News Story Is Going To Make You Vom Into Your Lunchbox
Don’t say we didn’t warn you…
Long haul flights are bad enough without the dodgy stockpile food, appalling choice of films and the guarantee that you’ll be sitting next to somebody with a hygiene deficiency.
A Virgin flight from Los Angeles to Sydney truly managed to add insult to injury when passengers reported that they could see human excrement “sloshing down the aisle” after some major toilet foul up.
Passenger Julia Malley posted this apology letter issued by Virgin Australia quoting "an issue with plumbing in the fresh water overflow system on board" that halted the journey. Seems like a bit of an oversight, considering reports of vomit and poo being apparently visible from the aeroplane cabin.
After being made to wear gas masks for three hours after the seepage, passengers were relocated in LA in a hotel, and reimbursed for their flights.
A reason for the deluge has yet to be given, but frankly, we think we'd rather not know.
