Alanis - 'I Hate Writing Music!'

Alanis Morissette has told MTV News that she hates writing music.

The vocalist, who is about to release her long awaited fourth album 'So Called Chaos', says the results are worth it, but the actual song writing process does her head in. "I hate it. I hate writing!" She said.

"I'd much rather eat bon-bons and watch movies for the rest of my life but its like a workout to me."

"So when I'm about to do it and when I'm in the middle of it, it's not an enjoyable process but when I'm finished it's the most clarifying and fulfilling and the most health-enhancing experience ever!

"Its always afterwards that I feel so spent and humbled."
