Alexa Chungand Arctic Monkeys frontman Gonzo host and Turner - who have been dating for over four years - confirmed the news yesterday, claiming their relationship has not ended on bad terms.
A spokeswoman for Alexa told the Sunday Mirror: "It's completely amicable - but yes it's true. They have split."
Speaking of the couple, a source also told the tabloid: "Things haven't been going well and they haven't seemed like a couple for the past few weeks."
"They really wanted to give it a go to hold it together and seemed to be getting back on track - but things got bad again and they both decided enough was enough."

Despite their break-up, the insider added that Alexa and Alex are keen to remain pals, stating: "It was best that they both got out now and saved their friendship."
