All Saints All Gone Now
The girls are dropped by their record label...
All Saints have been dropped by their record label Parlophone after their album and latest single failed to light up the charts.
Despite a top 3 smash with 'Rock Steady', the gals - Mel Blatt, Nicole and Natalie Appleton and Shaznay Lewis - failed to convert the buzz over their comeback single into album sales.
On the first week of release, the critically acclaimed album 'Studio 1' only made it to No 40 before dropping further the following week, and their latest tune 'Chick Fit' was only released as a download and failed to make the Top 200.
A spokesperson confirmed the news to the Daily Mirror, saying, "Both the label and the group are proud of the album Studio 1. All Saints are excited about moving forward with their career and Parlophone wishes them the best of luck."
It will come as a blow to the group who looked certain for chart success after returning to the scene with a headline-grabbing war of words with Girls Aloud, last Autumn. (Read the whole story as broken by MTV News here: Girls Aloud kick it off, All Saints answer back, Girls Aloud calm the storm.)
Sadly however, the gang's straight-talking and cool tunes were not enough to leave them with rock steady chart success.
