Amanda Bynes: Conservatorship Bid Delay
Parents must wait until 9 August to have their case heard in court...
Rick and Lynn Bynes will now have to wait until 9 August to have their bid heard in court.
But their daughter's involuntary psychiatric hold has been extended from 72 hours to two weeks in the meantime.
US gossip site TMZ reports that Bynes' parents explain in their conservatorship bid that their daughter believed she was being watched by smoke detectors and devices in the dashboard of her car.
Bynes was held after allegedly starting a fire on a stranger's driveway at the beginning of the week. She is not likely to face charges over the incident.
