Amanda Bynes Denies Doing Drugs On Twitter
She's The Man star released after court appearance...
Amanda Bynes took to Twitter to deny ever having done drugs, just hours after appearing in court on charges of reckless endangerment, tampering with evidence, and criminal possession of marijuana.
The 27-year-old was arrested for allegedly smoking cannabis in the lobby of her apartment block, prompting building officials to call police. It was also claimed that she had thrown a bong out of the window as the cops arrived.
According to the Daily Mail, following yesterday's court appearance, the former child star wrote on her Twitter page: "I only smoke tobacco I don't drink or do drugs. I've never had a bong in my life!"
Bynes added: "I need to get another nose job after seeing my mugshot!"
In court, Amanda's attorney Andrew Friedman reportedly said: "My client completely denies illegally throwing anything out of her window."
He claims the police followed Bynes into her apartment illegally, and insisted there was "nothing recovered from the sidewalk", suggesting she had not thrown anything from the window.
Releasing Bynes on her own recognizance until a 9 July court date, Chief New York County Judge Neil Ross issued a warning, saying: "I do want to make sure you understand. If you get arrested again... I'm going to be setting very, very significant bail.
"You're in a very, very challenging situation right now."
The actress is currently on probation for driving on a suspended licence.
