Amanda Bynes Long-Term Psych Hold Possible
Judge rules that troubled star could be held in facility for up to a year…
A new judge ruling means that Amanda Bynes could be held within a mental health facility for up to a year, according to TMZ.
Amanda’s mother Lynn, who was granted a conservatorship over her daughter's personal and financial affairs, is said to have been given control of her daughter’s long-term hold.
The US gossip site's sources reveal that Amanda is unlikely to be kept at a mental health facility for a year. Instead, the plan is for her to receive on-site psychiatric care for 60 days and then move in with her mum.
The troubled former child star, 27, is said to have been moved to the UCLA Medical Center, where Britney Spears was treated, for the long-term hold.
Amanda was committed to psychiatric care after starting a fire on a stranger's driveway and is said to be receiving treatment for schizophrenia.
