Amanda Bynes' Mother Granted Conservatorship

Parent given authority over troubled star's money and medical care...

The mother of Amanda Bynes has been granted a legal conservatorship over the former actress.
Lynn Bynes was given temporary power over her daughter's financial affairs, along with the right to decide where she lives when she is released from psychiatric care.
The 27-year-old [uuid=12d80445-6cd3-409f-9e24-6dc42f151916]was yesterday told[/uuid] she must stay in hospital for up to 30 more days.
And now Ventura County judge Glen Reiser has granted her mother the conservatorship, which also gives her power over Amanda's basic needs such as food and clothing and over her medical care when she is released from hospital.
According to People, the star's lawyer said she did not "oppose and object [to the conservatorship]", explaining: "She doesn't feel there's a need."
Bynes did not attend the hearing.
