Amanda Bynes Pleads No Contest In DUI Case
Troubled former child star takes 'wet reckless' deal and will be placed on probation...
Amanda Bynes is reported to have made a plea deal in her DUI case from 2012.
The former child star, who had a high-profile meltdown last year, is claimed by US gossip site TMZ to have avoided contesting the DUI charge in exchange for a more lenient punishment.
Nicknamed a "wet reckless" deal, the arrangement will apparently see Bynes placed on probation for several years - and if she is convicted of another DUI then it would be regarded as her second.
She will also have to undergo an alcohol awareness programme, it is reported.
Bynes was last year placed on psychiatric hold following a series of incidents in which she displayed increasingly erratic behaviour.
She has since had a lengthy stay in rehab and been released into the care of her mother.
