Nick Cannon Writes Open Letter To Amanda Bynes
TV personality offers support to former co-star and criticises media...
The America's Got Talent host, who is married to Mariah Carey, used to star alongside Bynes in All That - and posted the open letter to his "little sister" on his own website.
As well as offering his support, he also criticised certain elements of the media for making light of Bynes' problems. She is currently still being held for psychiatric evaluation.
He said she was "one of the most pleasant human beings I have had the pleasure of meeting" and said her erratic behaviour was "no laughing matter".
"Fame and entertainment is one of the best and easiest occupations to ever have, but one must know how to navigate through the matrix or you may find yourself in a very dark hole," he warned.
"I'm here for you. I understand. I care and I appreciate you, because that's what family does and that's what family is for...
"I'm here! Call me! Because I truly believe, the hand you're helping up today may be the one you're reaching for tomorrow."
Bynes' parents are seeking a conservatorship over her personal and financial affairs.
