From Internet Famous To American Apparel Model: Meet Brendan!
Our new favourite model has arrived… Soz, Cara.
You might not recognise the name Brendan Jordan, but we’re sure you’ll recognise the face of American Apparel’s latest model signing, who was cast after a video of him Vogue-ing behind a journalist went viral.
The video – titled ‘Kid goes full diva on live tv’ – was shot at Vegas shopping centre Downtown Summerlin in October, and since then 15-year-old Brendan has set up his own YouTube channel with over 55,000 subscribers to date.
“Brendan is from Las Vegas, Nevada,” reads his American Apparel ad. “He's half Peruvan (his dad was born and raised in Peru) and he learned Spanish from his extended family that helped care for him.
“He enjoys taking photos, shopping and collecting Disney memorabilia. In the future Brendan hopes to have his own TV show and design a clothing line. His biggest inspirations are his great grandmother Lucy and Lady Gaga.
“We were inspired by Brendan after seeing his fearless act of spontaneity and applaud his efforts with the LGBTQ community. His favorite styles of ours include the Clear PVC Circle Skirt and anything high-waisted.”
Pictured wearing said PVC Circle Skirt, pink disco pants and a T-shirt reading ‘Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Pride’, amongst other styles, Brendan is fast becoming our new favourite fashion icon.
