Randy Jackson has reportedly followed fellow judges Jennifer Lopez and Steve Tyler, and quit American Idol.
The only remaining original judge, Jackson has been on the panel for 11 years - but according to TMZ, the 56-year-old has made way for an all-new line-up.
Rumours that Randy would leave the show have been rife since J.Lo and Tyler announced their departures, but it's now thought he may remain as a "mentor".
TMZ report that though there is some concern about Jackson taking on the mentor role, they feel he's the glue that keeps the show together and are keen that he stays on board.
So far, only Mariah Carey has been confirmed as a judge for the next series of the talent show.
Nicki Minaj is thought to be on the verge of signing a deal - which apparently won't please Mimi - while the likes of Kanye West, Keith Urban and Alanis Morrisette have all been mentioned in connection with a spot on the judges' panel.
One person who definitely won't be gracing US TV screens when Idol returns is Katy Perry. She reportedly turned down a $20m offer after deciding it would be the wrong career move.
