A brand new teaser trailer for American Idol season 13 has been released.

The four-minute clip gives fans their first look at the new judging panel of Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick, Jr. in action.

The three judges, who have [uuid=7e445a6c-caa4-46a9-af6a-0270a497106b]previously spoken about the great rapport they have[/uuid] with each other, are shown at several different auditions sharing a laugh and critiquing the talent.

Two contestants appear to have wowed the judges - a girl who delivers a stirring acapella version of an Adele track and a guy who declares to be a big Keith Urban fan.

Other memorable moments in the video include an audition showing off their twerking skills and another accusing Connick Jr. of being "harsh".

The latest season of the hit talent show will premiere in the US on January 15.
