Steven Tyler Quits American Idol
Steven Tyler has confirmed that he is leaving American Idol after two seasons on the judging panel.
The Aerosmith frontman said that he would not return for the new series - and would be concentrating on music again.
According to Jennifer Lopez has hinted that she might also be leaving the US talent show.
In an interview with the Today show, the 42-year-old said: "Maybe it's time for me to go. It's been on my mind a lot, as you can imagine, and now it's like, 'Do we continue on this journey?'
"I've loved it so much. I enjoy the show so much... It's a tough decision either way."
She added: "At the end of the day, whichever way, it's a heartbreaking decision if I'm going to have to go."
If J.Lo does head for the exit, that will leave only Randy Jackson on the panel.
E! News reports that bosses are keen to keep the show fresh, and the likes of Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Nicky Minaj and Fergie are rumoured to be on their wishlist.
