5SOS are nominated in the New Artist of the Year category, where they will go head-to-head with Smith and the likes of Meghan Trainor and Iggy Azalea.

Blige will also take on Beyoncé and Jhene Aiko for Favourite Soul/R&B Female Artist Award.

Iggy has received the most nominations, scoring six nods, while Pharrell Williams, Katy Perry and John Legend are named in five categories.
