Lady Gaga and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are among the latest performers announced for the upcoming American Music Awards.

Mother Monster and the Thrift Shop stars will hit the stage at the prestigious awards show, which takes place in Los Angeles on November 24.

Swimming Pools (Drank) rapper Kendrick Lamar will also wow the crowd at the event, as will country music star Luke Bryan.

The stars join [uuid=7f88d503-388d-46f0-8f04-303dd3603937]previously announced acts[/uuid] Miley Cyrus, One Directionand Florida Georgia Line.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis [uuid=195d2b1e-3a27-4f7f-86e2-1dcad36cab82]lead the way with nominations[/uuid] this year, garnering a total of six nods in categories including 'Artist of the Year'and 'Single of the Year' for their smash Thrift Shop.

Close behind are pop superstars Justin Timberlake and Taylor Swift with five nods apiece, while Rihanna, Robin Thicke and US country music duo Florida Georgia Line each gained four nominations.

Local lads One Direction are in the running for 'Favourite Band, Duo or Group - Pop/Rock' and 'Favourite Album - Pop/Rock' while Mumford & Sons are up for 'Favourite Artist - Alternative Rock' and Calvin Harris is nominated in the 'Favourite Artist - Electronic Dance Music (EDM)' category.
