Amy Schumer Hits Back At Those Claiming She's Been Stealing Jokes
Not cool, guys.
Amy Schumer has been somewhat forced to stick up for herself this week, after being accused of stealing material from other comedians.
The Trainwreck actress denied such allegations on Twitter on Wednesday, after a video was released trying to compare her and several other comics' jokes.
She also took the time to stop by the Jim Norton Advice Show on Sirius XM, because, you know, she's quite clearly innocent.
"I'm getting accused of stealing jokes and I wanted to come and talk to you about it and clear my name because I would never ever do that and never have," Amy explained during the interview.
Adding: "I have to come up with so much material for my TV show, this movie, stand-up. And I'm so careful. I will literally take a polygraph. And I just would never do that. That would be so stupid for me to do that."
As for who started the whole thing? Well Amy has a few ideas...
"Both Kathleen and Wendy know me and they don't believe I would do that, I think this is Tammy's trying to get something going," she said adding, "I think [Tammy] is upset I blocked her on Twitter a couple years ago because she was unkind to my best friend, Rachel Feinstein, and I didn't like how she treated Rachel. I don't think she's got much going on, this is my guess. I think people get upset by success."
