Amy Winehousefrittered away much of her fortune on drugs, friends and expensive holidays, it has been revealed.
The singer was estimated to be worth between £10m and £15m following the phenomenal success of Back To Black, but there was just under £3m left after debts and taxes were paid off in the wake of her death last year - at the tragically early age of 27.
Newspaper the Daily Mail claims that she spent £1m on drugs between 2006 and 2008 and splashed out £500,000 on a holiday in St Lucia lasting 18 months.
She also spent £500k launching the career of her protege and goddaughter Dione Broomfield, paid Blake Fielder-Civil £250k in a divorce settlement and spent £130k on rehab treatment for her pal Alex Foden.
A friend told the paper: "Before Amy died, money was being leeched off her left, right and centre. It was like taking money off a baby when it came to Amy - she couldn't stop giving it away. Mitch knew that most of it had probably been spent already."
