Amy Winehouse will not be playing at this weekends V festival.

The troubled singer has cancelled all her upcoming tour obligations so she can concentrate on restoring her health.

A statement from her label was released yesterday (16th August) and read:

"Amy Winehouse is putting all her touring commitments on hold until further notice in order to address her health issues"

The statement has also requested the media to respect her privacy.

The cancellation follows her suffering a drugs overdose last Tuesday (7th August) and being since then admitted to rehab.

With her turbulent gig no shows over the past few weeks it seemed Amy may have been treading the Pete Doherty path but now MTV can only hope she gets well soon.

Amy Winehouse has received three VMA nominations this year: including best video and best female artist.
