Amy Winehouse Forced To Retire By Management?
After her shambolic Belgrade gig, Wino will apparently not perform again for years...
As we previously reported, Winehouse was booed by crowds at the concert after arriving on stage an hour late, as the 27-year old appeared to be "too drunk to perform" and “mumbled her way through parts of songs."
Wino was then forced to scrap two forthcoming shows in Turkey and Greece, after admitting that it felt like the "right thing to do".
Now, The Sun reports that Amy's boss, Ray Cosbert, has decided to step in and prevent the Back To Black singer from performing "indefinitely" after embarrassing herself in Belgrade.
A source 'close' to Winehouse told the newspaper: "It has been hard for Ray to watch her get into trouble over the years. There's only so much he can do - but enough's enough. She's going away and this time it could be for years."
Amy's remaining eleven European tour dates have all been cancelled, with her rep stating: "Amy Winehouse is withdrawing from all scheduled performances. Everyone involved wishes to do everything they can to help her return to her best and she will be given as long as it takes for this to happen."
The Rehab hitmaker is also apparently vowing not to take any money from the doomed Serbian show, with her spokesperson confirming that promoters will not have to pay her the concert fee.
