Amy Winehouse Foundation To Launch Next Week
As her parents and boyfriend agree to talk about her death on US TV...
Mitch, who announced plans to set up The Amy Winehouse Foundation shortly after the Rehab singer's untimely death in July, stated on his Twitter page that the charity will start work on 14th September.
Following a battle to win back the rights to the foundation name after an online opportunist decided to register the company before Mitch could, Amy's father is now preparing to launch the charity.
The former black cab driver tweeted: "The launch of Amy's foundation 14th September. We will turn our grief into positive action."
As well as finally getting Winehouse's charity up and running, Mitch, Amy's mum Janis, her stepmother and boyfriend Reg Traviss have agreed to speak about the Back To Black hitmaker's death on Anderson Cooper's new CNN talk show.
They will appear on the premiere of Anderson on 12th September, with Cooper telling the Hollywood Reporter: "We want it to be a look at what happened to her and the struggles that she was facing and the struggles that the family was facing in trying to get [her] help and her incredible talent and career,"
