Amy Winehouse has won the Ivor Novello award for Best Song Musically And Lyrically for her track Love Is A Losing Game at todays ceremony.

Wino was at the ceremony- in Londons Grovesnor House- though her dad Mitch went up to collect the prize. Beyonce and Shakiras Beautiful Liar was named Bestselling song of the year while Cherry Ghost won best contemporary song.

Take That's Shine was named most played song at the Ivor Novellos while Phil Collins ended his music career by picking up the International Achievement prize.

Kate Nash told MTV News why the awards are special: "Its really prestigious... its about song writing and thats really important for an artist to be appreciated. Its really exciting."
