"Boozy" Amy's Top of the Pops
Look who's on for a No 1 album this weekend...
Amy Winehouse's alleged out of control boozing doesn't appear to be doing her career any harm.
The smoky toned chanteuse, who threw up during her opening song at Saturday night's G-A-Y gig, looks set to knock Take That off the No 1 album spot this week with her long player, 'Back To Black'.
According to midweek sales figures, the bouffanted one has sold over 2000 copies more than Snow Patrol's 'Eyes Open', her nearest rivals. Take That's 'Beautiful World' looks set to be knocked down to No 3 after aeons at the hit parade summit.
Uprooting Take That from the position they've held for a whopping six weeks must be just the good news Amy needs right now after an intense couple of days where both her mates and the media have called for her to go to rehab.
One friend said yesterday (January 8), "Amy does have a bit of a problem, it's obvious to everyone.
"If she keeps going the way she is she'll end up doing herself some serious harm or even worse. It's tragic the way she goes on sometimes."
Let's hope Ms Winehouse celebrates this latest news with a nice, cold glass of shandy...
