Plan For Life-Size Amy Winehouse Statue
Tribute to late singer could be erected in Camden venue...
A life-size bronze statue of the late Amy Winehouse could be erected close to her home in Camden, London.
A plan is being mooted to site the statue in the Roundhouse venue on Chalk Farm Road.
And a spokesman for the Roundhouse told The Mirror: "We think it's important that Amy's contribution to music is recognised in Camden, but the idea is in its early stages of development at the moment."
Her dad Mitch has reportedly been more forthcoming, however.
He told the Camden New Journal newspaper: "It will be bronze, life-size, and on the first-floor balcony next to the Roundhouse bar.
"What we'd like to have is Amy leaning over the balcony and looking, and perhaps pointing, towards Camden Town from Chalk Farm Road."
Amy died last year at the age of 27. Her family recently put her home on the market, explaining that they could not face living there.
