Anchorman 2 Gets First Television Promo Spot

Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues has been given its first TV spot in the US.

Will Ferrell's pompous newsreader Ron Burgundy takes most of the screen time in the promo clip, which also features Paul Rudd, Kristen Wiig and Steve Carell.

Burgundy's pet dog Baxter also makes a brief appearance, drinking through a straw as they sit in a diner together.

And Ron is seen behaving like his usual oafish self during a date with a character played by Meagan Good, and later horrifying her relatives as he attempts to master Afro-American street slang during a family dinner.

The movie - which recently got its first full trailer - will also see the return of David Koechner and Christina Applegate.

Newcomers to the cast include Harrison Ford, James Marsden, Amy Poehler and Tina Fey.

The movie is set for release on 20 December.
