Paul Rudd: "Anchorman 2 Is Insane!"

EXCLUSIVE! Actor reveals he can't wait to start work on the sequel...

Anchorman star Paul Rudd has described the script for the movie’s much-anticipated sequel as “insane”.
Rudd played reporter Brian Fantana in the cult 2004 comedy and will reprise his role alongside Will Ferrell and Steve Carell when production begins in March.
And when MTV News asked the funny man about the Anchorman follow-up, he couldn’t contain his excitement.
“I’ve read the script and it’s always a good sign when you’re reading something and laughing out loud – which I was doing throughout,” revealed Rudd.
The 43-year-old actor also praised director Adam McKay, who co-wrote the script with comedy superstar Ferrell.
“Adam and Will know that world and that character so well,” said Rudd.
“They’re both geniuses – it’s really funny and I can’t wait. It’s insane!”
Inspired by Rudd’s new film This Is 40, we wondered how his Anchorman character Brian Fantana would celebrate his 40th birthday.
He told us: “Chemicals... alcohol... tears... and prostitutes. Not necessarily in that order, but probably in that order.”

Anchorman: The Legend Continues
is slated for release in December.
