Jolie Gets Emotional About Mum
The actress gets tearful when talking about her late mother
Angelina Jolie broke down in tears at a London press conference for her new film The Changeling.
Comparing her character to her real mother- who died last year- she struggled to stay composed saying: "She was just the softest most gentle woman in the world and she...f*ck (getting upset) she is very much Christine Collins...she was really really sweet."
Continuing Jolie said: "She would never get angry, she couldn't swear to save her life and so when it came to her kids she was just really really fierce and so this is very much her and her story."
In The Changeling- which is directed by Clint Eastwood- Ange plays a mother whose son goes missing. The actress herself has six children with husband Brad Pitt and said she identified with the story:
"As a Mum it was horrible. I had my kids with me as much as possible... I found myself so emotional that I found myself being goofy and silly at home, being so happy that I knew where my kids were and that they were ok."
When asked if she was really going to retire from movies Jolie said: "I haven't worked for about a year, I'm gonna work for a few months and then I don't know when I'm gonna work again. I'm not making some retirement announcement but I just ...I have a big family and I have a lot of responsibility at home."
