Ant And Dec Prank Holly Willoughby With Fake Proposal

Ant and Dec have targeted their pal Holly Willoughby in the latest of their high-profile pranks.

The pair played a sneaky trick on the nicest woman in showbiz, staging a mock marriage proposal as she was shooting an episode of Surprise, Surprise - with boy band Blue performing one of their songs.

They are joined on stage by Richard, a member of the public who intends to propose to his GF - but Holly is horrified when she turns him down.

However "Richard" then reveals himself to be Ant in disguise, with Dec posing as GF Annabel's boss nearby.

Holly reacts: "Oh my God. It's you. I nearly threw up."

And she says afterwards: "I had no idea, I never thought I would be fooled but I honestly didn't twig. As far as I was aware we had a relatively simple surprise, a boyfriend proposing to his girlfriend, but it all went wrong.

"I felt my heart sink when she said no. You never think anyone would say no! I was relieved when I found out it was a stunt but the boys best beware, I like a prank so may just have something up my sleeve!"

The new series of Saturday Night Takeaway begins on ITV1 this Saturday.
