Apple 'Testing Designs For iTV Devices'

Computer giant reportedly limbering up for big push into televisions...

Computer giantApple is reported to be testing designs for its long-rumoured smart TV products.
The Wall Street Journal reports that the US-based firm has already built prototypes for the "iTV" devices - working in collaboration with Foxconn and Sharp.
Sharp is thought to be providing the screens for the devices, with Apple's long-term partner Foxconn handling the manufacturing.
Company CEO Tim Cook last week declared that television was "an area of intense interest" for Apple, and it is now claimed to be in the "early stages of testing".
Although the firm's iPad Mini has only just launched - and become one of the hottest items this Christmas - [uuid=5eb09a00-2a7f-44b5-abf0-3924028f9274]rumours of specs for its successor[/uuid] have already been leaked.
